The citation was issued to their company, Wolffelk Corporation, for one of their newest shops opened Nov 17, , at NW 70th Street in Oklahoma City. The citation was issued March 26 and filed May The city claims they received a complaint because the store was only about feet away from the nearest house in the neighborhood. Article 30 of the Oklahoma City Municipal Code prohibits such shops from being any closer than 1, feet. According to Charles Locke, superintendent of Code Enforcement with the City of Oklahoma City, he and some other staff advised the couple to first appeal to the Board of Adjustment to see if they could get a variance.
After four days of deliberation, a jury found former Oklahoma City Police Department Officer Daniel Holtzclaw guilty of multiple counts of rape and sexual assault on Dec. Holtzclaw, who has been on trial since November 2, was accused of targeting black women in the community he patrolled. All 13 women testified against Holtzclaw in the trial. Last November, during a two-day preliminary hearing, each woman told her story in succession — publicly, for the first time ever, in a smaller courtroom than the one in which they delivered their trial testimony. Before the November hearings, these stories had been told only through prosecutors and detectives.
